Frequently Asked Questions

What age is your Chupacabra Series suitable for?

I consider most of the Chupacabra Series to be “soft” horror and primarily targeted towards adult readers, although it may be appropriate for mature teenagers. The exception would be Book IV, Dawn of the Chupacabra, which contains adult-themed violence that is not suitable for teenagers.

Do you speak at schools and other events?

I have spoken at many grammar-level schools for Dr. Seuss’s National Read Across America Day with my picture book, The Night After Christmas. I am open to speaking again locally in Southwest Florida.

How can I purchase your books?

You can find my books at various online retailers, such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or you can check your local bookstore or library. Most of my titles are available in hardback print, trade paperback, and e-book formats.

Can I receive signed copies of your books?

Absolutely! Please contact me at [email protected], and I would be honored to send you a signed copy of one of my titles.

Are you open to being interviewed or guest blogging?

Yes, to both. I have been interviewed multiple times as well as posted blogs on websites other than my own. If you would like to interview me, please send an email to [email protected] with details of the interview’s subject and your publication/show.

Meet the AUTHOR

Michael Hebler

Michael Hebler, a passionate writer based in Southwest Florida, has a rich background rooted in Los Angeles County, where he was born, and Orange County, California, where he was raised. Famous authors like Dean Koontz, Stephen King, and Robert R. McCammon’s works inspired Hebler’s imagination when he was just 13 years old, igniting his desire to write captivating, character-driven stories. His writing spans various fiction genres, yet he finds a special connection with thriller and horror.

After a brief hiatus to explore diverse interests, Hebler was thrilled to dive back into the literary world in 2023. His primary focus is on completing a new trilogy in his acclaimed Chupacabra Series. Alongside this, he’s eager to delve into new narrative ideas that have been slowly simmering to a boil. In 2024, Hebler is set to unveil the RETURN OF THE CHUPACABRA. This gripping tale, set in 1990, reawakens the legendary Chupacabra after a century of dormancy. The plot thickens as a troubled young boy stumbles upon and forms an unlikely bond with this enigmatic creature, setting the stage for a resurgence of its bloodthirsty vendetta. Additionally, Hebler plans to release a collection of short stories, THE DEAD DIARIES, as well as his first children’s book in more than 13 years based on the early days of Halloween.
